Fire The Mob – Ordinary Things (Downing Street Records)

Chances are if you’ve been to a club in the past 18 months or so, you’ve heard Ordinary Things in one form or another.

The tune’s hook first burrowed its way into our brain last year in the form of the massive deep house thumper that was Leave Me by Hot Since 82 and Hbasichman . A year earlier however the hook could be found in the equally brilliant Ordinary Things by Duran Gench and Aytekin Kurt.

Now, London deep house producer/DJ Fire The Mob has sampled it is his own track Ordinary Things and it’s an absolute beast of a tune.

With well over 200,000 views on YouTube and over 65K streams on Soundcloud, in addition to receiving support from BBC introducing, Ministry of Sound Radio, and various tastemakers such, Fire The Mob is on track for a massive year.

Fire The Mob’s Ordinary Things is an ultra-sleek deep house tune centered around the vocal sample of It’s Over Now by Deborah Cox.

The track’s smooth and soulful grooves recall the kind of work we’ve come to expect from fellow UK house producers Dusky and Justin Martin. With both its classic and timeless qualities, Ordinary Things has all the right ingredients to be club stayer for years to come.

Ordinary Things will be released through Downing Street Records on 30 June, 2014 and will be available via iTunes and Beatport.
