Hot Since 82 – Don’t Touch The Alarm (single) (Knee Deep In Sound)

Sound Advice favourite Hot Since 82 was responsible for our favourite dance record of 2013 with the brilliant Little Black Book (read our review).

Just last week the Leeds dance producer and DJ Daley Padley p/k/a Hot Since 82 released a brand new single Don’t Touch The Alarm, which is also the first release for Padley’s own Knee Deep In Sound label.

As showcased on Little Black Book, the new single too is a journeying, captivating, engrossing, and dynamic deep house tune with all of Hot Since 82’s distinct trademarks on display.

At once deep, dark, and even a little mysterious, the track’s pitch-shifted vocals, weighty stabs, and deep rumbling bass give the song an undeniable darkness but its dynamics and house grooves make it frankly impossible not to dance to.

Deep house doesn’t get much better than this.

The single, which also includes a remix by none other than Booka Shade, was released digitally on 5 May, 2014. Purchase via Beatport now. It will also be released on 12″ vinyl on 16 June, 2014. Pre-order the vinyl now.
