Jeremy Olander vs Kent – Petroleum (single) (Pryda Friends)

If you’re a regular reader of Sound Advice, you’ll know we’re big fans of Swedish progressive-house producer and DJ, Jeremy Olander.

At the start of this year we reviewed the track “Let Me Feel”, which given was released so early in the year, we were so bold as to call it our single of 2013. A combination of all the right ingredients, not in a long time has a single track just grabbed us that quickly and easily.

The new track “Petroleum” contains that same energy and excitement with an undeniable sense of euphoria. A punchy progressive-house kick-drum sound is paired with a funky bass line and a brilliant single synth arpeggio. The track is then coloured with sweeps and tight production techniques.

The song’s vocal hook mightn’t be in English but make no mistake “Petroleum” sounds like another club anthem in the making and is sure to have folks shouting at the top of their lungs…even if it is phonetically.

The single will be released on 26 August, 2013 through Eric Prydz’s label, Pryda Friends and available on Beatport.
