I Am Legion – Make Those Move (single) (Division Recordings / Par Excellence / OWSLA)

“Make Those Move” is the debut single from  I Am Legion, the collaboration between Dutch electronic trio Noisia & UK hip-hop act, Foreign Beggars.

Admittedly we haven’t covered much hip-hop here on Sound Advice but holy shit there’s something about this track.

Opening with a KLF-esque synth texture before a massive low-rumbling synth bass and hard-hitting breakbeat combine and absolute chaos ensues. Fusing equal parts brostep and hip-hop, this might the hardest hitting club track you’re likely to hear this year. You can just see clubs and stages being torn about when this one plays. Although it’s hard-hitting, don’t be fooled – this thing is also riddled with hooks and immediately accessible.

The song’s energy is reminiscent of The Prodigy and when partnered with the intelligent hip-hop hooks of Foreign Beggars, “Make Those Move” is an unstoppable force.

As you might expect,  the production from Noisia is absolutely top-notch; driven by its huge bass and beats, the extra sonic textures via the give “Make Those Move” an interesting quirk.

“‘Make Those Move”  will be released worldwide on 15 July via Noisia’s Division Recordings, FB’s new label Par Excellence, and Skrillex’s label OWSLA in the United States, with the full album set to follow in September.
