Friends – Va Fan Gör Du (single) (Lucky Number)

You haven’t witnessed bizarre until you’ve watched the latest video from Brooklyn punk-funk/indie-pop act, Friends.

“Va Fan Gör Du”, translated from Swedish as “what the fuck are you doing?”, is the fourth single from the band’s debut album ‘Manifest!’ (cover art above).

A hybrid of 70’s funk and lo-fi indie-pop, “Va Fan Gör Du” sits somewhere between Blondie and The Slits.

Danceable and catchy as all hell, its riotous and anthemic vocal chants, hand-claps, and tasty indie-guitar noodling ensure that this song will embed itself firmly in the listener’s brain.

Coupled with an utterly bizarre, self-directed video that would be right at home in Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy, “Va Fan Gör Du” is a raucous indie party anthem.

“Va Fan Gör Du” will be released as a single on 17 December while the album ‘Manifest!’ is out now.
